 This could be a very essential tool for DVR purposes. I think the biggest improvement would be to engineer it for multi wakeup events with a single screen to view all that are enabled. I don\'t like having an entry in the systray for each event.I would also like some info on how to get around the User Access Control in Vista. If the pc is rebooted, often it marks each entry & keeps it from running until I specifically enable it.
 I think it is a great idea. Unfortunately not simple enough for my needs: a small non resident utility to remote boot a remote PC on demand.Good tool though.
 I\'ve had this in use on my desktop and laptop for the past couple of months and it has performed just \'as it says on the label!\'After a bit of a learning curve (do read the manual!!) it is simple to use and probably covers many, many useful schedules of use - but if you want to change your arrangements you have to create a new schedule - re-entering the previous stuff while incorporating the changes. You can: allow or disallow suspend, choose between standby and hibernation (if supported by your system), manually suspend your system, have your system to resume after a specified amount of time or at a specific time, configure WakeUp to launch an application or an URL on resume. Note: make sure to quote the path to the executable to launch if it includes spaces.

 My Opinion this software is not the solution for anyone who try to get what the software clame that he can do so you need as programmers to work much more hard so you can get a software can do it easily such as Netcut v2.08 go ahead monitor this wonderfull software he can get all the machine on your network with details such as IP, name and the Mac Adress of machines.REGARDS.
 What easy of use? I just didn't manage to make it works! I gave a mac addrress but no ip or anything else returned to me.

Recommendation Really satisfied. Works smoothly and definitely.It very usable instead of shortcuts, "built in notebook".
 Won`t work with printer I purchased Shut Down Expert for the "hibernates/awakens" feature. However, after the computer awakens my deskjet D1320 printer will not work. Prior to installing SDE, the printer worked fine. I must restart the computer for the printer to work after hibernation. SDE tech support says that it's the printer driver. HP printer support, after extensive trouble shooting, said to uninstall SDE, that the SDE software was the cause of the problem since the printer works fine without it installed. So, I'm left with the "shut down/restart" option if I continue to use SDE. I'm not a satisfied customer ...

Very useful! We had some computers that weren't responding to WOL and this enabled me to confirm that WOL magic packets were being received by the computers so I could direct my attention elsewhere. Thank you.
